Philosophy & Practice
Here are a few thoughts on my learning design philosophy and practice.
Engagement & Advocacy
Winston Churchill once said, " Where my reason, imagination or interest were not engaged, I would not or I could not learn." As a learning leader and adult learning advocate, I completely agree. Learner engagement is critical. Meeting basic needs, and core values, while presenting them in a way that inspires, and creates retention and advocacy. That is true learner empathy.

Iterative S.M.A.R.T Design
I believe in the iterative design process based on S.M.A.R.T (Specific, Measurable, Action-Oriented, Relevant, Timely) outcomes. The core tenets of adult learning theory require that we always review and assess the "what" and the "why" to build useful content that is measurable.
