Director of Knowledge Management
Applied Memetics (AM, LLC.) | Leesburg, VA.

December 2021 - December 2022

Responsible for the vision, direction, and strategic development of all professional learning for AM, LLC.

I designed and implemented a formally structured knowledge management and learning and development department in less than 30 days.  I reduced onboarding by 24% and then 40% (from six hours to two hours) by restructuring all learning (removing silos and duplicate content and labor), and framing KM to serve AM LLC, using empathetic adult learning principles.

My process for rapid prototyping, micro-learning, and blended learning improved our onboarding strategy.  The production and curation process for all content was streamlined and became visible to the entire organization.  This removed silos and reduced labor utilization by 40%, while still meeting federal, state, and local government requirements and SOC2 compliance.

I also developed and deployed a KM framework, identifying costs and labor utilization, and developed a pricing model to align internal and external clients.  This made KM a professional service line for AM, LLC.  A few months later, I designed a real-time active dashboard system to provide learning data to project managers and leaders.

I aligned our organization to agile principles for organizational development and effectiveness, and I designed and implemented OKRs (Objectives, Key Results) to scale.

  • Realigned the team into three pillars: Content, Operations, and Knowledge Management.  This aligned the team, reducing duplication of effort and improving content for the learner experience

  • Successfully renegotiated LMS contract to align with AM’s growth from 500 to 2000 employees, saving over $25,000 in overage fees and framed content to scale

  • Focused content modalities for a blended learning experience framework.  Reframed all asynchronous learning to microlearning bites. 125 courses, with over 60 personas

  • Cross-functional leader, working with all AM executives to meet fiscal and organizational goals

Corporate Learning Strategy Advisor, Student Solutions
Frontline Education | Malvern, PA.

January 2021- December 2021

Promoted from Services Development Manager, Frontline Education.

In charge of the strategic development of learning solutions for students.  Five core business systems comprised 14 SaaS applications (one-third of all Frontline Solutions).

I leveraged learning as a consultative service to these applications, which slashed standard processes, leading to simple and rapid solutions.  I designed all client learning solutions with adult learning principles and human performance improvement outcomes.

My learning was delivered in several forms with a focus on pre-training and post-referral.  The most common were adaptive experiential eLearning (over 250 courses). With a keen eye for “just-in-time” solutions, I added four separate experience levels for external and internal clients.

Some of my additional responsibilities were working cross-functionally with other areas of SaaS (SMEs, UX, LX, CSOAs, Support, and Client Services) to build robust, value-added services in a go-to-market strategy.

  • I manage learning systems, including CMS and LMS (SAP Litmos).  This included all knowledge management processes to drive results for solutions in rapid growth

  • Rapid prototyping is my specialty. I develop microlearning that engages and develops long-term retention

  • I am a cross-functional leader with key strategic partners. Led the development of an array of scalable “free-to-fee” experiences called Frontline Go! This provided clients with multiple learning solutions at any budget layer

  • Expert facilitator, mentoring other leaders and support teams for all strategic channel experiences

Additional organizational role as the key project manager of all extra-large and state-level clients.

  • Mentor and cross-functional project leader for all professional services.

  • I led a team to redesign our content to align with Frontline learning practices and embed it into their solutions framework in 90 days. Over 100 eLearning courses, 50 ILT courses, and the conversion of the knowledge management system (200 help articles)

  • My virtual (ILT) train-the-trainer program tripled in size and reduced our labor for train-the-trainer by 75% in 2020 by restructuring and leading our team to build an experience platform for eLearning, our LMS, PPT, and Zoom content into a virtually-delivered experience-based solution

  • Client success and retention for all large client onboarding, including Houston, Texas, Miami-Dade County, Florida, Hawaii (the state agency), Baltimore, Maryland, and Mobile, Alabama

  • Developed an interactive eLearning solution unique to the school health industry. Launched in 2015, had over 90% of our client base enrolled within a year, with an AAR of over $500,000 in two years

Introduced in 2017, the KM system changed the customer paradigm on finding help, reducing customer support monitoring and labor costs, and improving client retention by 25% in the first four months. (Measured in formative assessment of client service data, learning data, and retention/support analytics.)

  • Key management role. Included in all major client orders. Financial recurring revenue planning with budget development and approval.  Annual plans development, KPI with key objectives. Exceeded budget goals by 10% to 30% annually
